I just can't make myself keep reading this series. The plot is not original (see alllllll the "dark academia" reverse harem books), neither are the characters. I found Morgan B Lee's Cursed Legacies series to be a fresher take and way more engaging!

So much happened in this I don't know what to think, this had so much more action going on.
The story is definitely taking off and everything is happening at once and these cliffhangers are getting to be too much.

I temporarily got so bored that it could just be 2.75 stars!
I really was hooked the first 20% after I got a little bored in Book 2. It was interesting but after that it all went downhill. This book is mainly about relationships and bonding and a lot of sex. It's probably just me, but it was just sex... all day, with like every bond -super annoying! Also, this is the third book where they are fighting against “the Resistance” and they have yet to even try to explain who they are or why they are fighting them. Then of course the book ends in a ridiculous cliffhanger.
I’m going to stop reading this series at this point

This one throws you right back into the chaos from the last book, no time to breathe. If blood and gore make you queasy, you might want to tap out. But if you’re here for a fierce FMC who owns every page, you’re in for a ride.
Finally, she starts letting her Bonds in. Watching her actually trust and lean on them was a relief, because the constant tension was edging into eye-roll territory. And yes, we get some well-earned spice. It’s not wall-to-wall heat, but when it hits, it hits, especially that threesome scene. Worth the wait.
But that ending? Absolute trash fire. I cannot believe J. Bree did us dirty like that. I’m furious, and yes, I’ll be diving into book four immediately.

You always need a "story" book in the series, and I hate the story books. Well, I don't hate them but gaaah - I'm an impatient beeeottch ... but, in this book we definitely get more smut, AND we get some menage action.. it was worth it...
