A clunky sequel that left a lot to be desired. I'm hooked on this series, so of course I'll keep reading—but this installment was a cumbersome read. I frequently found myself rereading passages just to figure out what was actually happening.
The story relied too heavily on telling rather than showing, which made it difficult to understand the characters’ reactions and motivations. At times, glaring plot holes were patched with vague, one-line explanations that did little to enhance the overall plot.
I’m hopeful that Book 4 brings back the fun, cheesy fantasy romance vibes, instead of more clunky, band-aid plot.
Cliffhanger? Yep.

Every time I finish a book in this series, there is always a plot twist I don't see coming and this one takes the cake because what the actual fu©k?!
