This was the first book by Kelsie Rae I read and i immediately bought the entire series because this one was so good! I seen Kelsie's snippets on Tiktok and it hooked me in immediately.

This story follows the journey of Colt and Ashlyn; when they meet Ash is dating the POS Logan who happens to be best friends to Colt. Ash and Logan have been dating for YEARS and he is anything but loyal. Enter Colton Thorne, he airdrops his number to a cute girls at the stop light without knowing that girl was actually the girlfriend to his high school best friend.

Ashlyn -- I had a love hate relationship with her, she is loyal to a fault but also a little to naive for my liking. There were many times when I wanted to yell at her because it was so obvious that Logan was cheating on her but she was so blind and naive to it she would just brush it off. Him constantly telling her NOT to go to his games, him blatantly ignoring her while on his phone texting other girls. Her loyalty to Logan was her biggest downfall, she had an instant attraction to Colt but wouldnt cross that line with him because of Logan when he had no issue screwing pretty much the entire female population at their school. She had great character development during the back half of the book but her biggest struggle once the dead weight that was Logan was gone from her life was jealousy. This is where i struggled with my feelings towards her, once Logan was removed from the situation she ends up getting with Colt but then tells him she doesnt want anything serious but then when she sees him with other girls [her best friend being one] she gets angry and overly jealous.
There were many times she had trouble trusting Colt because of her jealousy even when she knew it wasn't what it looked like. But I love how she was towards the end of the book, she was willing to put Colt's needs and happiness ahead of herself even if it hurt her in the process.

Colt -- This man can do no wrong! He moved in with his high school best friends when he got kicked out of his old university; unknowing to him the girl he airdropped his number too ended up being his best friends girlfriend. Colt knew Ashlyn was off-limits but he also wasn't willing to let her be played like a fool like all the other guys on their team. He notices everything about Ash and he falls first and he falls hard for her. He was willing to put everything aside when she needed him; this man drove out in the rain to go pick her up because the POS that was her boyfriend was too busy with other girls. He even put her parents in their place when he realized how they treated her. He wasnt willing to let her ever experience pain with him in her life. He protective by nature and it didnt stop at just Ashlyn he even helped one of her best friends because he didnt like the situation she was put through.

The biggest CON of the story was how everyone including Colt knew Logan was cheating on Ashlyn but no one was willing to say anything. Colt gave Logan an ultimatum either Logan comes clean or he would.
I LOVED Colt and Mia's friendship!

The writing is so tacky. Every time I open this book I cringe.

The beginning was great, but i need more TENSION, more build up.

They got together so quick and lived happily ever after for most of the book. The conflicts were barely conflicts.

4 ⭐️ Instagram didn’t disappoint- this was a quick and easy read. Characters were well developed and I particularly enjoyed the lack of third-act breakup.

I kept seeing little clips of the scene with the OJ. I finally caved and gave it a try. The scene was not changed or misrepresented like I sometimes see, and for that, I’m so grateful I got what made me interested in the story to begin with. I enjoyed the read, and the characters. My deep sense of justice really needed a whole lot more justice and butt kicking of those who deserved it, but maybe that will unfold in the rest of the series. But overall, a cute read, and I enjoyed the journey.
