⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
In the next addition of Tracy Crosswhite series , Tracy is pregnant and trying to hide it from everybody in her precinct while investigating a missing Indian women’s case. Meanwhile Faz and Del are investigating the shooting death of a community activist who was against the drug and gun culture .

A Steep Price by Robert Dugoni is the sixth book in Tracy Crosswhite police procedural series. Even though I have enjoyed the series so far this one seems lacking and was a little predictable. However I will still read the next one in the series

I would like to thank Thomas Mercer & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Better than some, not as good as others in the series. I was much more involved in the Faz and Del story line than the Tracy one. Yes, I'll be reading the next one soon.

My favorite Tracy Crosswhite novel so far! I did not have the murder figured out much before the end and enjoyed the further development of the "A" team detectives-they are becoming people I can relate to.

I love detective novels, especially those that run in a series, with the detective encountering one tough case after another. A Steep Price wasn't any different.

Though I haven't read the other books in the series, I'd definitely like to now. A Steep Price was awesome and I'll bet the others are too.

Being an Indian, I loved that the author had researched Indian culture in enough depths to get all his facts correct. And I'm also happy that he managed to keep his opinions on it neutral by creating characters who supported both side of the arranged marriage theory—though personally, I support Tracy. Arranged marriages are NOT done.

Anyway, back to the story, Faz and Del were a fun pair to follow, and I need more of them! They were like the grown up Hardy boys. It was fun solving the mystery with them.

All in all, A Steep Price was an engaging and suspenseful read.

Another good story in the series. There were a few lol moments... like Anderson-Cooper, LOL!!! I'm still shaking my head that these cops act on hunches without backup or even letting anyone know. It’s fiction and everything will work out, right? Lol… This story got us to know the rest of the A Team, Del, Faz, and Gonzalez, the newest member. I must say, this series just gets better and better. Looking forward to book seven!
