These characters are really engrossing. I sometimes hated to keep reading because I didn't want anything bad to happen to any of them. Read this book!

There are a lot of things that make a mystery good, but one of them is: does it, at one point, genuinely make me do the Shocked Pikachu face? And this one did.

CONTENT WARNING: two mentions of attempted suicide pop up near the end (Loc 4363 and 4387 on the kindle). These come out of absolutely nowhere, unlike the other topics I’ll put in the content warnings, and can be avoided without affecting the plot too much if you’re sensitive to that.
