Great smutty read! The spice was exquisite. I also loved the revenge plot. Joy’s reason for revenge is heartbreaking but she is a queen and deserves justice. She does no wrong in my eyes. The romance was so sweet. I enjoyed reading the beautiful expressions of love and adoration.

I really enjoyed this book 💖 I bought it out of a desperate need for more monster romances written by poc authors, and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

I really found Joy and Malachi’s relationship sweet 💖 I loved how they both saw the dark sides of each other and embraced them. I also enjoyed watching how they navigated their traumas in order to find a way to be happy and in love together. It was really tender ✨

And I loved seeing Joy’s rapist be brutally murdered 🤩 We love revenge in this house.

And sure. This was hella cheesy in parts, but I kinda really liked it. Ultimately, this accomplished what it was trying to, and I had a good time. I’m looking forward to picking up book 2!

I loved the premise and set up and absolutely flew through the first 60 percent, then I really slowed down when the focus shifted to only the romance. But that said I loved Malachi and Joy, the smut was great the writing was fun and I think I would read more of this series.

Overall for rating, Ifeel conflicted about this book. I think this is my first monster romance. I think maybe the demon element was a bit too wish-fulfillment for me?

I loved the LGBTQ+ global ethnic majority rep and if I was going to get super into this genre to be honest this is the best place I could have started.
