This book was honestly adorable! It was quite refreshing to have the mmc wanting to be vulnerable. It was also really refreshing to see both fmc and mmc almost take a switch position when it came to being intimate. Lastly, GOOD FOR YOU GIRL!!! We love a good revenge story for the girlie pops!

Well. I finally did it. I finally crossed the line and I read a book where the romantic interest it’s not even remotely human looking. It was… interesting and much better than I thought it was going to be, but I’m a little concerned this is going to open the door to the blue aliens and even weirder stuff. We’ll see where I end up.
The story was heavier than expected, but I think it was well managed and didn’t feel forced or just using these very heavy topics for drama, it was with a very sensitive approach, but I would recommend you to read the warnings since it does describe sexual violence as dreams and flashbacks. Loved the vengeful thirst from Joy. Malachi, even being a demon, it’s better than most people on this planet, he even asks for your pronouns.
I’m not a writer, not an expert obviously, but I felt like some parts needed a bit of work, they felt more like a draft, like some of the dialogues felt awkward.
Since this is my first read on a monster romance I did have my doubts on what goes through your head when you see a red eyed demon, purple skin demon, with forked tongue and thinks: Yeah that’s hot. I guess I need more monster romance books to understand.

Absolutely loved this story. Set in Nigeria featuring Nigerian culture and traditions. The FMC was a badass big girl, my fav. The MMC was a dream, even if he is a demon.
