It was okay. I guess my expectations were amiss. I thought Hedda would be a little crazier. It's more like everyone else in the play was kinda dumb for indulging her. idk, I guess manipulation be like that.

Probably if I saw it on stage, I would like and appreciate it significantly more.

hedda really said gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss 

an enjoyable play that critiques the social expectations of women in the late 1800s through the manipulative and controlling character of hedda gabler and immoral characters. most characters are horrible people but those that aren’t are manipulated

The main reason why I do not give this play a higher rating is that I do not like how all of the female characters are only significant/relevant/worthwhile/interesting because of male characters to whom they are connected.

Read this act for a school project and i liked it. The ending is not expected at all. But im not gonna spoil. Recommend for people who can handle the though language.0
