Tris's Book

Tamora Pierce

4.04 AVERAGE

So all I've read of Pierce's so far is the first Alana books and based solely on that I'm seeing a pattern. A first book in a 4 book series that's a really good children's book but still just that, and then the story just becomes great regardless of age. I loved this book. I loved the take on magic duels. I loved the characters. I loved the story. Continue to be blown away by how good Pierce is.

My first Tamora Pierce and I found her characters to be well fleshed out and very likeable. This world was very easy to step into. I would really recommend this series to young people, especially those who may have some self esteem issues.

Another excellent book from Tamora Pierce. It has pretty much everything you could want - a great story, character development, characters that boys and girls can relate to, magic, adventure, and a cute dog. All awesome things!

Tris my love

Light hearted danger and fantasy. Morals about constraint and when to break rules for the better good.

This book was a one day light read.

I really enjoy Sandy and Tris... and I am sure my friends would rant about Briar and how hot he is. :-p.

Tris is the first to see magic with the help of a spell by her teacher, but the other children soon pick it up from her. This happens between the four of them: they are indelibly linked through their magic. Tris must learn to guide her weather magic so they can all defeat the pirates.
