this was super cute & hot but not my fave. i feel like we didnā€™t get to really unpack some things, the dialogue was a little stunted at parts, and the time jumps felt out of place. i had a good time reading, but ultimately, this felt like too long of a book for what we got.

My last review for 2023! And I think this is one of the sweetest romances Iā€™ve ever read. I absolutely loved it and I think it might be one of my favorite books Iā€™ve read in all of 2023.

I loved that both Baxter and Paxton were over 40, single parents to teenagers, and lonely in different ways. Baxter, because he didnā€™t let anyone in on a deeper, friendship level; and Paxton because he just didnā€™t want to be around a lot of people. And the fact that their kids set them up on a holiday buddies friendship building thing? I ate that up! I also loved the way that they took their kids feelings into consideration through this whole book. Especially when it came to finally telling them that they were in a relationship. It was honestly the sweetest, most heartwarming thing Iā€™ve read! And the way that they cared for each other and loved all their rough edges and broken pieces?! I was giggling and smiling to myself the entire time I was reading it!

Let Your Hearts Be Light is just the sweetest, most heartwarming, and coziest books to end the year on. This is getting five stars and I canā€™t wait to read the next one!

Okay... where to start? This is my first time reading Fae's book and I... really love it! This is solid for me. Solid story of a sweet M/M Holiday Story. I love how both Paxton and Baxter started as stranger with Grumpy X Sunshine trope; made this story likable and cute.

I love the process when I read this book; trying to understand both Paxton and Baxter; including their struggles in life. I also love both Nathan and Becca. They're sweet kids. In the end, I love this book as a whole. The plot, the characters, the story, the character developments and the pace.

I love the slowburn romance between this two single dads and I also love their bond. Thank you for bringing such a lovely holiday M/M story, Fae. You are brilliant!

If I had a chance to re-read, I will for sure. What a journey for this Christmas and Disability December read.
