There really aren't writers who can match Winterson, this was simply outstanding. There is a certain humorous prose to Winterson's words and I feel that it helps make a rather bleak and difficult story that much more palatable without shying away from the trials of her life. A fantastically written memoir, Winterson is a power house when it comes to the novel.

Pretty good! Follows adult Jenette as she struggles with identity, sexuality, and finding her mother. Some parts were hard to follow, but overall reads like therapy on paper.
