I’d come up with an ending myself which I still think was better. The book jogs along but I wasn’t entirely convinced by it. I don’t think I’ll read her other books.

Ik weet oprecht niet zo goed hoe ik dit boek moet reviewen, want zelfs na 450+ pagina’s weet ik niet zo goed wat ik ervan vond.
Het is geschreven op een unieke manier: namelijk een verzameling van allerlei soorten mixed media. Van kranten artikelen, tot het script van de Netflix show, voice memo’s en meer. En of ik dat nu echt lekker vond lezen, dat weet ik niet zo goed. Al ging ik er dan wel weer lekker snel doorheen.
Door de schrijfstijl voelde het soms ook wat langdradig, terwijl er tegelijkertijd alsmaar van alles gebeurde en nieuwe ‘bewijsstukken’ boven kwamen. Tot op het eind blijf je raden wie de dader was, wat ik erg tof vond.
Maar of dit echt een boek voor mij was? Ik denk het niet. Al was het wel leuk om eens zoiets uit te proberen.

3.5 stars. Really fun and unique format. Netflix documentary as a book. Lots of twists but I felt the end was a little disappointing.
