A very generous three stars. Usually I love the mixed media format way of storytelling, and while I didn't hate this book, it didn't quite hit the spot for me. I think the repetitive nature of a screenplay of a multiple episode TV series does get a bit dull when you see the same call sheet, same intro, etc every "chapter".
The problem with this book is that it leads you down a path from the start. All along I was thinking "it was this character who did it" and then you almost think you're right at the end and then it throws another murderer in out of left field. I didn't much care for the ending. I have no idea what the last page referred to, so maybe I missed something along the way there.
I think that this had some interesting things to say about ethics when it comes to true crime shows and the families of victims. But it ultimately fell a bit flat in a somewhat mediocre plot with a bunch of unlikeable characters. They're intentionally that way, but still, it left me feeling like I'd wasted my time reading this.
It's not all bad. It took me a few days to read it, and I guess it was entertaining. But I'm not sure I'll pick up any more by this author.

Twisty all the way till the end. I started reading it in kindle and had a hard time adjusting to the format. So I bought the book in paper format and that helped immensely. Once I got used to the format it was a quick read but the turns were never ending. It was a fun and unique read that I very much enjoyed.
