Honestly, I've always had a soft spot and secret love for Atlantis. This book reignited this love for it. Welch has done it again, and made me want to visit Santorini more than ever before. Just like with the previous books in this series, they were lovely and renewedy love for her as an author.

going into this book, i saw that many people commented on the length, and how some parts of the storyline felt unnecessary. i was wary, as it is pretty long for a contemporary novel; however, Love & Olives is probably my favourite one in this series!!

i absolutely adored Olive, the main character. she is this artsy teenager with a hard shell that reminds me of myself. the development of her relationship with her dad was well-done and greatly spaced out, which correlates with the book's length. i personally did not have a problem with how many pages this book has; it felt like i just flew threw it! the storyline of finding the lost city of Atlantis was very entertaining, as well as the exploration of Greece.

this was a great ya contemporary novel, a great summer read, that allowed me to escape to Greece for a little while :)
