Best read along with podcast series. Rating has dropped due to questionable pedophilic roman artifact being lauded as “gay history” and as an obligatory warning of the imperialist nature of the museum’s collection itself. If you can stomach this, the book and podcast series it is based on can provide a very wide and inclusive overview of global history in an entertaining and relaxing way. Recommend listening to the podcast, Stuff the British Stole, as a good balance afterwards.
