This was a raw, unflinching memoir of growing up in an abusive household as a gay person with disabilities. I really appreciated getting a look into a life that's very different than my own. Fries explores what it's like for him in America as a person who fits into many minority groups (LGBTQ, disabled, Jewish...). He doesn't shy away from his experiences or the people who hurt him or who helped him.
