50 Book Reading Challenge 2015: A book based entirely on its cover

This title kept catching my eye on the new release tables at work and when I saw it at the library, I gave in. It ended up being really good. It had just enough romance and mystery to keep the story suspenseful. I really didn't know what was coming until the end. I will read another by him in the future. :)

I have been reading and listening to a lot of depressing stuff, so it was really nice to switch to this fun and funny mystery story. A repo man, Ruddy, starts hearing voices in his head, and it turns out to be a dead man who wants Ruddy to help him find his murderers. High jinx ensue. It’s lighthearted, you don’t have to think about it too much, and it was easy to put myself into the story as it all takes place in Kalkaska, East Jordan, Traverse City and Charlevoix.

At first I thought this is silly, then It became comical. The author was a repo man before he started writing, what a career change!

Start this series, and start it now! You won’t be sorry. My favorite is the bear in the corner. And, the wonderful, heart warming relationships in spite of all the friction. I’ve recommended this book to so many friends and to the occasional stranger I’ve passed on the street.
