This is the one about that gorgeous perfect couple and their secrets. You know, that one. You've read it before.

Unfortunately, there's nothing special or different about this story, and I saw the "twist" coming from a mile away. So, it's probably one you could skip and not really miss out on anything. It's utterly forgettable.

Of all the Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen books I’ve read, this is probably my least favorite. I feel that there were two different story lines (the whole Marissa/Matthew saga, then Avery’s drug company problems) that the authors only tied together at the very end of the book. To me it felt disjointed, and like the ending was rushed.

That being said, like all of their novels this was a quick read, perfect to get you out of a reading rut or tide you over on a plane ride or beach day.
