Like Hendricks and Pekkanen’s other books, I read it mostly for the twists, but they were a letdown. Avery’s character was the most dynamic and interesting, whereas everyone else felt two-dimensional. The writing was okay, and I did enjoy the back-and-forth chapters from Avery and Marissa. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it. If you want to know what happens, read the spoilers.
