4.5/5 stars! while the plot twist wasn’t exactly unique, it kept my interest the whole way through and I liked reading from the therapist’s POV. definitely worth picking up!

The whole book felt like it was just filler until some big twist happened at the end - everything before that was boring and relied on telling rather than showing for every piece of narrative. Avery tells us multiple times that the Bishops are so complicated but all we see is the infidelity mentioned at the start and some supposedly shady side characters - nothing out of the ordinary - why are we supposed to buy into this narrative of this couple with such different problems when the story can't be bothered to show it to us? I've read other books by this duo and enjoyed them but this was disappointing.

Well okay then...not bad but not great.

Kinda boring and yuppy but a good premise.

The Golden Couple had me from page one. It has all the elements of a great book, well-developed characters (Avery, Marissa, Matthew, Bennett, Polly, Skip, Natalie, and Chris), romance, intrigue, and a twist or two at the end. I can't wait to read their next book.

I loved the suspense of this book. Though at times it felt convoluted because of the sheer amount of diversions happening to keep you guessing and engaged, I think everything wrapped up nicely. The book did a good job at foreshadowing just enough to keep you on your toes, so while some twists were predictable, you were still thrilled and satisfied when the truth came out.

This was entertaining and twisty, even if ultimately I did guess at the ending. I enjoyed the audio version.

The ending was not what I expected and definitely rushed, but it was an entertaining book overall.

Fantastic storyline, the characters were great and the connections will keep you guessing. Great read!
