Easily my favorite book of 2022 so far!
Maybe it’s my strong connection with therapy and mental health or because I’m a thriller fanatic, but this book gave me everything I needed and then some. I love all the characters and different viewpoints. I love that you have to be truly invested in the story to keep track of everything. I was so sad when it was over. I definitely recommend The Golden Couple!

This had a promising premise and started out OK, but some of the events were a tad far fetched, and the characters were mostly unlikeable people. Decent enough, but a little dramatic for my taste.
This was my last 'book of the month' credit book and I picked a good one. To be fair, I knew I'd love it as I have enjoyed all the previous books by Hendricks and Pekkanen. This was a fast-paced intriguing read that kept me really focused and wondering how both Marissa and Avery's personal tensions were/were not connected. I loved how they ended up intersecting (both through Skip and through Chris) and how all the lose ends with the supporting characters and storylines were resolved. While they may have been red herrings, they did have meaning. I would be interested in another story with Avery as the main character where she's using her 10 step therapy method with another client!!

Probably one of the best domestic thriller I've read in a looooong time.
Avery’s storyline was weaker but a fun, engaging thriller.
Meh. Not my jam. I FORCED myself to finish this one. The characters were all unlikable and therefore I really didn’t care what happened to any of them. Overly manufactured drama.
