I fell in love with this book. I wanted more. There was still so much I wanted to know. I needed more. Great collaboration between two great authors.

You can't go wrong with a book by Michelle A. Valentine and Emily Snow. This enemies to lovers story is hot, sweet and full of passion. Maggie has returned from her service to find her family business floundering. Her father's health is not good and things are on a downward spiral. Running into her cheating ex has her flinging herself into the arms of a stranger, Gabe, who lights up her world, and is the demise of her family's hotel. Gabe is a retired baseball player with they typical bad boy reputation. What he needs is a social makeover and a marriage of convenience to Maggie is his ticket! These two authors have put together two unlikely people and made a credible story. Maggie is a tough, loyal woman doing what she needs to help her parents. Gabe is an ambitious, misunderstood man who knows what he wants and will do what he needs to get it. Will they fall in love? Will Maggie save her parents' hotel? Will Gabe's dream resort come through? Or will circumstances blow up in their faces? Send in a couple of characters you will love to hate and you will be surprised with the outcome! It's a fun, loving story.

Meghan Kelly is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators. She has a large variety of voices to master all the characters in a story and make each one with their own qualities. She makes the story come alive and brings gives that warm feeling to her performance.

What do you do when you find yourself in a compromising position with the enemy? You find yourself locked in to a fake engagement to help not only your family but your enemy as well. The story of Maggie and Gabe at times made me shake my head and laugh and at other times yell at them like they could hear me. All in all it was a great read - I just wish some parts could have had more detail and emotion.

Thrust Under had all the usual, predictable tropes, but was still fun to read.

Gabe and Maggie's is, in a way, an enemies to lovers romance.

Meghan Kelly did a fine job building those two characters and making it enjoyable to take this ride with them.

Standalone Novella.

Maggie Kinsella is retiring from active duty in the military. She's coming home to help her aging parents with their failing inn. However, Gabriel Carter has opened a resort directly across from her parents' inn, which severely decreased the inn's reservations. When Maggie's friend convinces her to go to a party in the enemy's territory, Maggie sucks it up. Free booze, right? As Maggie enters the room, though, she spots her ex and panics. She grabs the first guy she sees and kisses him. Gabe is intrigued by her forwardness and decides he must have her. He introduces himself, but Maggie is so distracted she doesn't even hear his first name. After she finds out who he is, Maggie is furious.

If you're looking for a Hawaiian homecoming with an enemies-to-lovers, faux-marriage, this is the book for you!

2.5 stars and rounding up a bit. The story was a quick read and was flimsy on both details and emotion. There is insta-everything which doesn’t bother me except that things moved too quickly. It was an enjoyable diversion during a power outage but I otherwise might have DNF.

ARC received from authors for an honest review

Thrust Under is a sweet, sexy, quick read that is a perfect way to occupy a couple of hours.

Maggie and Gabe's story is light and albeit predictable, however that does not make it any less enjoyable.

I adore the spark and banter between them, knowing that in a minute they are either going to be fighting or kissing.

I will say though, that at first Maggie irritated me. Blaming others for something that was her fault just made me want to shake some sense into her, esp when that carried over. But this could just have been me. She may or may not have seen the error of her ways.

Right from the start we the reader knows where this story is going to end up - it was fun to be taken on the ride though!

This is the first collaboration of Ms Valentine and Ms Snow that I have read, but it won't be the last.

Maggie returns home to find her families hotel in total chaos and needing major upkeep while their competition is thriving. Her best friend wants to do a welcome back party and what better way to do it with free drinks, not realizing the man she boldly flirts with is the man who owns the hotel that is rivaling her parents hotel.

Gabe Carter is ready for the next phase of his hotel, the only problem is the investors thinks he is a playboy. They would not be far off but he has calmed his bad boys days and knows he has what it needs to make his hotel a destination spot that could rival any hotel. When he comes up with a plan that involves the spitfire, Maggie, who hates him he quickly begins to think everything is going to be alright but what happens when he falls for the girl?

This was a lot of fun. The chemistry is off the charts and I liked that Maggie has this old boyfriend who keeps trying to slink his way back into her life. Great read, perfect for the last days of summer.

Thrust Under is a sweet & sassy quick read by the talented Michelle Valentine and Emily Snow! I loved Gabe and Maggie's journey from enemies to lovers. Between their sizzling chemistry and their snarky banter Thrust Under was not only sexy, it had me laughing out loud. I couldn’t put the book down! I loved this book so much. I've read every single book Michelle Valentine has written and this is my first for Emily Snow and won't be my last. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
