Learning about the lives of these writers and the challenges they faced to become published authors was so fascinating! This book was so well written and researched I was captivated from the start! It was completely engaging and very readable! A must for Janites!

I loved this book! Anyone who is a fan of Jane Austen should check this out and learn about the incredible women writers who inspired her own writing. It's a shame that these writers lack the same level of appreciation and respect that Jane Austen gets and I loved learning their stories, whether their lives were comfortable or challenging, and how they fell out of fashion over the centuries. I'm looking forward to exploring some of the ones I hadn't heard of before and reading their works.
