I enjoyed the biosketches of these influential women writers, found the exploration of why and how writers get dropped from The Canon very interesting, and was not at all the right reader for the book collecting memoir side. A solid book doing more than the blurb suggests!

I feel like this book was meant for me. I read Northanger Abbey and put Ann Radcliffe on my TBR because I knew if Jane Austen praised it, it was worth the read. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the author's lecture on the book in NYC this spring. Happy to let my TBR grow to include these left behind women authors.
