Ah, I didn't like this like I thought I would. It's a no-brainer that Adriana Locke can write perfectly well because those dialogues flow smoothly in every page. The story's a page-turner and so easy to read. What makes this three stars is the main characters; they ruined the book for me. Lance is a manwhore whose personality thrives on sexual puns. His character was still so shallow for me regardless of his past accident and condition. It's like those circumstances suddenly seem irrelevant as an excuse for his character being a womanizer. As for Mariah, she's not outstanding either. She doesn't know her worth, that the best thing for her is to walk away from her toxic family. And with Lance helping her bridge that gap with them is such bullshit. Apparently, he's also toxic like the rest of them.

Love the Gibson boys

With heartbreak in his past Lance has given up on love. After her ex boyfriend marries her sister, Mariah has closed herself off from finding love. Flirting at work leads to more than both of them bargained for when sparks collide and passion ignites. But can the secrets from his past end the relationship before it can begin or will they both figure out that love is worth fighting for? Once again Adriana Locke writes about true and honest characters that the reader cannot help but fall in love with. This book is a must read and I cannot wait for more in this series.

Love it

I hate to admit this is my first read by the author. I loved the writing style, the story the whole thing I couldn’t put it down. Such a cute love story.

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of all of Adriana Locke's books. But OMG, I think Craft- and Lance- have shot above the rest!

I judge a good book by how it feels. And Craft had me so emotionally wrecked! I cried at so many different parts- and I love to cry! I felt like I was actually feeling the same emotions that Lance and Mariah were feeling. And that is always a good sign of a good book. That makes me connect with the characters, and that is what ultimately makes a good book, in my opinion.

I loved Mariah and Lance- I think the only thing I wish was that there was more... but I'm sure they'll be revisited with other books in the Gibson Boys series. I can't wait!!

Lance 😍

This was such a sweet story. Lance is the typical playboy hiding a secret underneath the rouse while Mariah is a sweet librarian who has been dealt a crappy hand by her own family. They end up falling for each other but one is afraid of his secret and the other is afraid the tiger can’t change his stripes.

This one is even better than the first one

I love the Gibson's. I seriously with my family were like them! I loved Lance and Mariah's story. They both had hardships and have chosen to wall themselves off in different ways. I enjoyed the innuendo Lance is constantly throwing her way, charming and funny as always. I would die for some of her muffins! The chemistry between them was unreal and I hope to catch a small glimpse of them in Machlans tale to satisfy my craving for the pair of them. Their journey to come together had me reading this in one sitting and all I can say is well done Adriana! You created a dirty talking , extremely lovable couple that will be missed.

This was a borderline, between really liked and loved for me, but it just missed the mark. Honestly, if they had done more with the family like the first book did, it would’ve been a “loved it”..I really like this whole series of characters though, always great to read.

Update in 2023: I accidentally read this book again, almost exactly 5 years later. It had a lot of deja vu for me, which could be explained by it being a reread, but honestly I think it’s just a bit too basic. I’d update the review to somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. Still solid, not mad that I read it, but lacked the spark I wanted.
