i think i would understand, connect to and therefore appreciate this book more if i read it in my twenties or thirties, not right now, when i’m sixteen and still quite inexperienced in life. i’ve had my first kiss, first crushes, ive struggled with mental health and body image to some point but that would be all. i think it would be better if i could reflect on my experiences while reading instead of imagining how they might go in the future. but yeah, its kind of my fault that i decided to read it right now. the poetry is definitely good and (obviously) beautifully written. loved it, wish i could relate to it a bit more but that’s on me.
Moderate: Body shaming, Fatphobia, Mental illness, Sexism, and Misogyny
