If I can't have the show back, this is the next best thing. Great stories in here, and a really nice letter from Adam Baldwin (Jayne will always be my favorite).

I miss Firefly. This was way too short...

There seemed to be some plot points missing. I don't think I got the whole story. :/

- This was another fun adventure with the Serenity crew. It was like reading an episode of the show.

- I really liked the letter from Adam Baldwin. I liked how he kept saying he was the one with the girl's name, or that it wasn't a girl's name.

- The artwork was really good.

This is a mix of comics, most of them take place before [b:Serenity: Those Left Behind|133765|Serenity Those Left Behind (Serenity, #1)|Joss Whedon|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1388184916s/133765.jpg|128860], except the last one that happens after the events of the movie and I thought it was kind of cheesy, even if I liked the character the comic is about very much.

In the end, my opinion is completely partial, because I like the TV series and the movie so much that I love to be able to read more adventures of these people, although the comics are too short and doesn't feature enough River IMO... but nevertheless they are good.

The drawing style is sometimes very different from one artist to the other and I don't quite like it very much, but well... It's Firefly and I'm happy with it as it is. No complains as long as they keep doing them!!

I always love to read Firefly/Serenity related material. This show was taken from the air far to quickly and I would have loved to see it go on for at least 7 seasons. Anyway, on to the review.

Better Days 1-3: 4 stars. First off the art in these 3 (plus the others in the book) is great. I could immediately tell who was who and the artists did a great job in capturinng the actors likenesses. In this story our beloved crew does a job, as they do many times before, however when they get there their employer doesn't have the money to pay them but he knows where some is and gives them the location. They get there and find they are finally rich, for at least a little while. In the next installment in this trilogy it's mostly the various members of the crew imagining what they'd do with all that money. There is also a subplot that involves "Dust Devils", it's mentioned in part 1 with Inara and a client, one of the crew is knocked out in part 2, and the reveal of who the Dust Devil is, is revealed in part 3. In the last installment of the trilogy along with the reveal of the Dust Devil and rescue of the crew member our gang also loses their money, but with what happens in the series, it's not unexpected.

The Other Half: 5 stars. Probably my favorite in the collection. It's one of the shorter ones but there was a lot of good material. I loved how everything came together and I especially loved various parts in the end. When Mal told River 'welcome to the crew', and that Mal knew something was going on and the last thing River saw in the guys head. All great additions to the world. Wonderful installment.

Downtime: 5 stars. Takes place sometime after War Stories but before the BDM, we get a reference to Zoe taking Wash's side more often over Mal. That was a nice call back. Poor Jayne he has a venereal disease and has to go to Simon for treatment. And River has a journey outside in the snow. I loved this one too. Plus I liked the exchange between Book and River. Gives us a little (very little) back story on Book.

Float Out: 4 stars. Post the BDM. Wash is dead and people he used to work for relive some stories with Wash before he joined Serenity. Although I liked learning more about Wash's life before Firefly I also didn't much care about the people telling the stories because we had never met them before. That part gets a 3 stars. However the section that got 5 stars for me was Zoe and when she came out and shared some happy and surprising things. That final panel just melted my heart and I'm so happy that
Spoilera piece of Wash will still live on
.

Overall this a fantastic addition to the Firefly/Serenity universe. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Now this is what I’m talking about. Every one of these stories had meaning and heft. They were not only entertaining on their own, but brought us closer to the characters and let us see different sides of them. A lot of action, a lot of humor and a lot of heart. Exactly what I love about the series.
