Not only is she the daughter of the pirate king but she’s the daughter of a siren. This comes with all types of special abilities. She also finds herself falling for a man who doesn’t care that she’s a siren but also doesn’t want her to use her abilities on him. Can they find the treasure island without facing the wrath of the pirate king? What about the sirens, their calls are coming louder now.

A great conclusion to a good fun duology.. I really enjoyed the series. My one criticism, if I had to give one, was the flip-flop back and forth that the MC felt to her LI.
But by the end alls well that ends well, and I look forward to the spin off book coming out about Alosa’s stoic friend and crew member, Sorindia.

Be forewarned, while this book is fun, it's brutal. People die in very violent ways. Basically, she wrote the main character like a cut throat "real pirate" and not like Keira Knightley a la POTC playing the gentle, cutesy pirate. All that said, super fun and easy read.

This book was a fun read. I definitely loved the setting and the characters. I especially loved that we got to meet more of the crew, and I absolutely loved Roslyn. However, I did rate it lower than the first book because I felt that it mostly ignored the possible romances, which I was quite excited to read about. I would be elated if we got some short stories to get insight on what happens after this book. I have to say though, I really appreciated how this book explored Alosa’s relationship with her mother. I definitely let out some audible gasps with this book.
