I'm in my Gossip Girl era so of course I have to read the mangas too. And I didn't regret it. The storyline is lowkey hilarious, with enough differences from the novels and the show to keep it interesting. The art is also pretty funny, and I enjoy the humour added into the story that way. I'm also invested in the Vanessa+Blair relationship that's getting fleshed out in this series, and the Blair+Dan relationship. I also love this series Chuck. Can't wait to read the next one!

I finally finished the last few episodes of the tv show again (it’s terrible, I know— but I still love it) and have had this book checked out for months so figured it was about time to get around to it. A slightly different perspective on things but just as dramatic as the tv show and original book series; I enjoyed the changes in plot and flashes of backstory that deviated from the story arcs I already knew.

Overall, I doubt it’ll appeal to those who aren’t already familiar with gossip girl in some format— but as with other iterations, it’s entertaining escapism.
