I really enjoyed this book, it was just a bit slower than I originally thought it would be. Still a great read!

I wanted to like this much more than I did. Something about it didn't grab me, but the first episode when I watched it had me in tears. It was I wresting to add all the flower reference and see them tied in.

The theme of renewal throughout stood out most to me. I found it difficult to put down as I wanted to know what happened. In the end I was not disappointed. The keeping of secrets around DV is common and the guilt the victims feel. The repercussions long after. Yet regardless Alice found a way to stand on her own and continue to find hope and create a future for herself.
The floral descriptions at the start of the chapters were relevant to the characters feelings. The drawings in the book were fantastic. The cover the most beautiful I’ve seen. Everything about the book was well thought out.
