if i had the ability to time travel i would NOT! go back and sleep with any boy i grew up with.

that being clarified, at some points i felt like the plot was obvious, yet a little too scattered. alice’s main drive for continuing to time travel was to save her dad, yet she went on missions to marry her crush, her job(?) came up, and her friendship with sam was a focus.

i loved the focus on the strong father/daughter relationship, but felt it could have been built better. at some points it became repetitive, which was purposeful, but not exciting to read.

Wow!  I’m wondering how I am so late to the table on this. Maybe because I’m a never fantasy, never si-fi girl except somehow I’ve read and enjoyed 3 time-bending books this year. This Time Tomorrow is beautiful and also crushing.

I love Alice’s relationship with her best friend, Sam. I mean how many of us have a friend who would take us seriously enough to be supportive if we told them we were time traveling?!  I love how they both appreciate and cherish the friendship even when life paths take them different directions and they are not in frequent contact.

But the main relationship is between Alice and her father, Leonard who is dying. After unexpectedly returning to her 16th birthday (more than once) Alice tries to make changes that can keep her father from his current condition. She also tries out a few changes in her own. It’s somewhat of a coming of age and also loving and being loved, grief and letting go. I feel so filled up. The author’s note (on audio anyway) was also touching.
