Cute but nothing super special. I really liked the characters and it’s a fun plot idea but it wasn’t the most exciting or memorable.
3.5
I somehow ended up reading 3 books about time travel in a couple week's time. I may have delighted in this book more if it had been the only one. It's gentle and kind and sweet. It's nice.

A beautiful story about the love between a daughter and her dad, coming of age, and hope
This story touched my heart in ways I did not expect. The ability to time travel and do or undo things in hopes of making life for you or your loved ones better. Even more so, the ability to relive the days with your loved ones which you thought were long gone. Having lost both of my parents, I would go back without question to those special moments that at the time I didn’t realize how special they were. To see their smile, to see them young again, to see them living their life that I am now living as an adult. There is so much I took for granted. But isn’t that what this book is about? To look back and appreciate what we had, but to also learn from our past, know when to let go, and start looking forward to the future, whatever it is going to be?
I have to end with this quote from the book: “Happy endings were too much for some people, false and cheap, but hope—hope was honest. Hope was good.” After reading this book, I feel hope. Hope is good.

What a heartbreaking but beautiful book. You just wanted to reach through the book and help the narrator stop time and change the outcome. It felt somewhat repetitive at times, but I feel like this is a good book to gain perspective about enjoying your current life and where you are, instead of always focusing on what could make your life better.

I was rating it a 3 until I got to the end where there were some descriptions that really resonated with me.
3.5 I enjoyed this love story of father and daughter but ultimately felt it was too long. Emma provides an afterword of sorts that explains how the book came to be and that was a lovely addition to the story.
This book really snuck up on me and I ultimately kind of loved it. Definitely had some derivative / schmaltzy parts, but ultimately a well-written, thoughtful, and funny book.
