Love and Formaldehyde absolutely scandalized me. Every so often I crave a book that delivers the spice, that can bring the heat, and boy, oh boy, did this fucked up little novella deliver just that. Honestly, this book is just pure vibes, the cozy small town feeling is right there mixed in with all the dread and disgust you can imagine.

I feel cheated by the marketing off this book. It was advertised as a horror erotica/ horror romance but there was nothing thrilling about it. The major selling point of this book was in fact just a brief twist near the end and most of it as actually just your run of the mill small town romance. There was no tension, no angst, no psychological /body horror. Don’t waste your money thinking this will be anything like this author has wrote before. Oh and to top it off there was several grammar mistakes throughout which was so annoying.

This is the kind of romanic horror that I can not get enough of. The story takes place in a mortuary, there's ghost, there's a swoon worthy, age-gap romance with a man that will have you questioning everything about your standards and ethics... five stars is not enough! Be mindful of triggers.
