Christie is incredibly clever and this book is a fantastic murder mystery read.

Although I read this in high school, I barely remembered it, so when I saw that the school is putting in on as the fall play, I gave it a quick re-read. And it was, no surprise, great. A perfect "locked room" type of who-done-it with a great premise and cast of characters. The only thing that would have made it better was a starring role by Hercule Poirot. But then he most likely would have ended up dead, and that's just wrong. I'm going to start one with him on the train ride home, which should do the trick.

A page-turner. Agatha Christie lays out this gripping murder mystery masterfully.

It took me awhile to get into this one, but I haven't been reading mysteries lately. I enjoyed the puzzle, and I honestly had no idea who was behind it at the end. I could really feel the building suspense!

I love Agatha Christie.
I saw the series first, so the end wasn't surprising, but I still enjoyed it. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I think the end was better in the series.

(And, of course, I imagined Aidan Turner as Philip Lombard the whole time.)

And now I understand the magnificence of Agatha Christie!
