This book was even better than the first in the series, but what really stood out the most to me was the narration. The narrator adds in laughing and other effects when it is written into the story and it has really felt like it makes the story come alive. I really enjoyed these characters.
Book was somehow so slow but also so extraordinarily fast paced for the romance. It felt like everything was rushed but there was nothing to rush.

It was finally nice to get Briggs back story. I’m glad he isn’t the guy we see and he has deep down pain yet he hasn’t dealt with it. Which keep him acting out. Just when I think he finally get some happiness in life things aren’t what they seem. Maddison comes into Briggs life like a breathe of fresh air. But she had me on edge the whole book. I knew there was more to her but I couldn’t be sure until it was confirmed. Im glad these two got their HEA. Can’t wait to see what else Maren comes up with.
