Okay so I wasn’t sure I’d like the Briggs character based on his preview from the previous book, but I ended up loving him! He so desperately wants a family and to be loved unconditionally after his brother basically blew up their family and the parents chose the brother (holy shitshow, Batman!). The connection to Maddison was instantaneous and amazing. Them finally coming together and finding their footing as a family was super cute.
I advise the author, should she read this, to add some extra editing/proofreading folks to the mix as there were MANY grammatical errors in sentence structure and punctuation. Regardless of that, it was a very cute book and I’m looking forward to Graham’s story next! (I sensed tension with Reed’s sister: is she possibly the heroine?!? Only time will tell.)

4.5⭐️
Uhm yes please.
Maddison got pregnant by Briggs in a weekend they had together at her grams inn. Nine months later boom she’s pregnant and he didn’t even know about it. She did contact him via his manager but he’s an asshole and did something.
They began to date. Everything is fine but then he found out that SHE is THE PUCK BUNNY. It’s a website where she said bad things about hockey players in specific it was Briggs. Because of this site he almost lost his job. He was PISSED at her for keeping it a secret so long-which fair. I get it. After a few days she wrote, after not writing anything on her website, an apology to Briggs and also revealing her real name. That’s how they got back together basically. Olive is now one year old AND SHES GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER.
The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because in my opinion she took to long with keeping her website a secret from him. I also think that the book could’ve been much longer

DNF'd at 55%.
I just couldn't get into the book. It was too..insta-love at the moment? I'm not sure but I started skimming by 35% hoping to get more into it but it never happened. Also, the blurb says Olive is a boy and I thought the baby was a girl? That inconsistency bothered me even though it is absolutely irrelevant.
