Holy heck. Briggs Wilson with his baby girl?! I need a fan. I’ve died and gone to heaven . Maddison is right. Alpha Briggs is 🔥🔥 Maddison and Briggs had a HOT weekend together, that neither could forget. I love Briggs’ love for both his girls—he’s all in. I love the way Maddison stands up for him. The secrets between these two hurt, but they’re so meant to be. I adore this little family 🥹
An honorable mention goes to Uncle Graham—he kept me laughing, and I’m so excited for his book next!!

**Most of my reviews contain detailed CW/TW sections, which may include spoilers. I have tried to mark them appropriately, but please use caution.**
Audio (Emma Wilder/Alex Kydd)
Summary: After a period of being wild and out of control due to a personal conflict/betrayal, the MMC has started to get his life back together and refocus on hockey (there is very little hockey in this book as far as I can tell), troubled by a nasty blogger who seems to have it out for him. He has a vacation fling with a young woman who disappears, before they run into each other about nine months later... and she has some surprising news.
Stats: CR - sports (lite), M/F, part of a series but stands alone, open door.
Notes: I DNF'ed around 40% for three reasons: 1) Alex Kydd's sections have a lot of "added noise" - heavy breathing, gasping, tons of giggling, retching... I really did not enjoy that. 2) I could see the set up for the likely final conflict very early and just wasn't feeling it. 3) I'm so sick of male characters who act like changing a diaper or any basic baby care is unbelievably complicated, and I'm so sick of female characters who act like this is acceptable/normal.
Incomplete, but still spoilery, Content Warnings (CW) and Trigger Warnings (TW)mentions of foster care/parents with substance abuse (not MC), family estrangement, alcohol, family tension, friend tension, infidelity by past partner, uncomplicated pregnancy, secret baby, "crazy/insane" talk, uncomplicated labour and delivery, brief descriotions of blood and gore/hockey injuries, fainting, infant, breastfeeding.

Is it a lie when you don’t say anything ?
She took wayyyyy too much time telling him the truth and that was a big NO for me.
So it took me way too much time to finish this book.
