I stayed for daddy briggs...while tolerating the romance. I wasn't a huge fan of maddison from the start and didn't feel a ton of chemistry between the two. but then I wanted to shake her through the second half to just be honest! she made the whole thing in to such a bigger thing with the cover up. all and all, it was a pretty meh read.

I guess the secret on the second chapter of the book, the writing was a bit cringey, but I did like the reverse groveling.

I really loved the first book in this series so I immediately downloaded book 2. And while it was good, I found myself not as pulled in on this one. I LOVED that there wasnt a ton of angst or drama with this one. They enjoyed their relationship. Maddison had a big secret the entire book but it didn't impact the relationship until like 86% of the way in. And by 90% is was resolved. So I loved that. I actually prefer when the book doesn't have a ton of drama the ENTIRE time. Something was missing but I couldn’t tell you what. I loved Briggs and I liked Maddison.
I would recommend. Just not my fav in the series so far.

Okay Briggs was such an amazing person, cutesy adorable dad, and just so GODDAMN FINE. His cheating brother and fiancé can suck my toes after I dip them into pig shit cause they just pissed me off even though they were barely in the story. I HATE the cheating trope so yeah they can shove their cheating selves into a Jack in the Box then I’ll beat it with a hammer thank you very much. ANYWAYS, I loved Olive, she was such a cutie. But what pissed me off is that Maddison waited SO DAMN LONG to tell the truth that she was the puck bunny. Yeah that’s it, have a good day.
