This one felt way too similar to “a lie for a lie” by Helena Hunting. The trope is kind of overdone at this point. The spice is mild but good and the chemistry between the characters is decent. Some of it felt rushed though.

I accidentally read this thinking it was a standalone, so I'm hoping that's why I had a little trouble tracking the characters. I was kind of annoyed that he's a hockey player but there's literally no hockey (or anything to do with hockey at all) in the book. I did absolutely LOVE how immediately all-in he was and his relationship with the baby is <3 <3 <3. I was pretty annoyed they didn't do anything about the situation that caused all of the problems in the first place.
Loved the audio for this book! And Olive is literally so precious - especially when all her uncles are loving up on her! The accidental pregnancy trope gets me yet again!
Briggs & Maddison's one weekend stand ends up being something they both cannot forget and boy do I wish they had just exchanged numbers from the start. But the way that Briggs steps up and is a literal DADDY when he finds out Maddison is having his baby had my heart bursting. He loves Olive with his entire heart and seeing him truly be the best dad was so cute! It ripped my heart in pieces when he discovered Maddison's secret, but I honestly love their little family and how much they have grown individually and together.

I left Briggs and Madison. When they met at her grandmother‘s house, it really did seem like she had no idea who he was. But it comes out that she actually was writing me an articles about him at some of his hardest times in life. She kept the secret almost to the end of the book. When he found out about the baby and jumped right on board, it was adorable. His friends were so cute about helping him shop and get ready for the baby. I loved how he just slept uncomfortably in her apartment for so long, and it took him quite a while to convince her to come to her place. The guys in the book were so cute about the baby.

This was a pure vibes fun low stakes read for me, and I still enjoyed it even though I had a massive headache (unrelated) while reading, which means it was probably very good <3
Only got a 3 star rating because Briggs is perfect and should be protected at all costs.
I have read every single book by Maren Moore and her books just seem to be getting better and better. Sincerely, The Puck Bunny is without a doubt my favorite Maren book yet. A bad boy hockey player, an infamous secret blogger, and a surprise, secret baby… Sincerely, The Puck Bunny is full of slightly predictable twists, turns, revelations, and ultimately a HEA.
Alpha Daddy Briggs was EVERYTHING. He’s the swoon-worthy, sexy, sweet, and most amazing guy. He’s had a troubled past which hasn’t painted him in the best light, but the way he has changed for the better is incredible. My favorite moments of Briggs were literally anything involving his baby girl and how he showed his love for his daughter. Briggs was made to be a father and his transformation was beautiful.
My first impression of Madison wasn’t exactly favorable. Madison was a complex character and as I learned about her past I came to like her character. Madison’s character was not at all what I expected. She’s strong, resilient, and driven. Madison and Briggs had this intense chemistry and I could not wait to see them get their HEA.
I loved the cameos from characters from previous books as well as the brotherhood between Briggs and his teammates. This group of characters, their friendship, and family is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to see Graham, Asher, and Hudson get their HEAs.
