Amazing book, especially love Nicky and Joe, but I can’t get past the fact that the art style is sooo ugly…
The movie is better in my opinion and it fixes a few problematic things from the graphic novel.

I watched the Netflix adaptation of this first, on the recommendation of some gals from my ladies' comic book club, and then later found out it was originally a comic series by Greg Rucka, for whom I already had respect. This definitely goes on the list of The Movie Was Better Than the Book. And it's also in the Top 3 list of movies that adapt a book most literally, taking the script and rarely changing it. The problematic and annoying things in Rucka's original were mostly seen to and made better for the Charlize Theron version.

This absolutely kicked ass. I haven't seen the movie yet, but when I saw this at my favorite used bookstore, I knew from all the good things I've heard that I wanted to pick this up. Fucking superb.

So amazing.
I loved the movie admittedly a little more than the graphic novel, the art was great, and the plot was the same as the movie they did so well with keeping it the same. I did find that it didn't have much of the funny banter from the film.
