⚠️ there might be spoilers I'm not sure i wrote this while i was crying so please proceed at ur own risk, my loves

I have mixed feelings about this one. It honestly felt a bit messy. For the first 3/4, I was mostly annoyed—Ava was too childish, and Eli just felt flat. Then, out of nowhere, it got really good: romantic, angsty, dark—exactly what I was hoping for. But it ended on a mediocre note, though better than it began.

I pushed through more to uncover the truth behind their marriage than to enjoy their relationship because, unfortunately, I just didn’t connect with the main characters. It’s disappointing since I loved everyone else in the other books. I also wasn’t a fan of the future setting - I missed the uni drama from the previous ones.

So, that’s the end of the series. I’ll admit I’m a bit sad, but I’ll probably go back to the book with Killian and Glyn—that one’s still my favorite.

Just no. In multiple ways, this book was like a bad Wattpad mafia romance written in 2019. I fully went into this hating Ava, and I left it, funny enough, still hating her. While I know she is mentally ill with something, I find it was used as an excuse for the whole book. Not to mention Eli was just abusive, he forced her to marry him with blackmail, but that's ok cause he cares for her illness!! wow fucking award for this book.

I don't, in all respects, think Rina Kent's writing is all that bad; it flows well and is easy to read. i think the problem is the ideas and how she chooses to execute them.

It is definitely a different vibe from the rest of the legacy of god books. But I liked Eli and Ava, they were very different from how I imagined them tho. Like who they were in this book seemed different then their brief cameos in the past books. I lived for the other characters POVs. AIRELLE and REMI need a book ! Cecily and Jer got married. And the parents were backkkkkkkkk Elsa/Aiden and Silver/Cole.

This can’t really be the end right?!? I need a HEA epilogue novel like we got with Royal Elite. I need some more Niko and Bran ❤️ and Mia having a voice with Lan. Ughhh this series was a fever dream.

I do wish Ava’s recovery happened a little faster because we didn’t get enough happy from them. But all the same I enjoyed. King men are crazy. Except Bran.
