Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I did enjoy my time reading it but the plot felt so disjointed. We have had 5 books to build up this relationship and i feel like
the amnesia trope was too heavily relied upon making us start all over without context. Maybe if we got a very clear picture/flashbacks of how Eli’s feelings developed for Ava before marriage, his declaration of love wouldn’t feel soo cheap
the book didn’t live up to what was portrayed. The potential of everything we followed Ava as a background character fell flat. It felt like they spent more time apart than together. This would have been the perfect book to divide into 3 parts like scenes from childhood, university and then after. Really missed opportunity in my opinion.

The audiobook is definitely my favourite from the series. Without it, I doubt i would have enjoyed it quite as much.

That being said it is my second most liked book in the series behind Cecily and Jeremy’s book. It was the most different and felt like more effort was put into their connection.

Sinceramente al terminar este libro quedé con gusto a poco. Siento que es un término de la saga muy meh,muy poco entrañable.

3.5 ⭐️ Y’alls reviews for this had me so scared I almost didn’t read it but it ended up being perfectly fine. Eli and Ava definitely deserved better (and sexier) but at least I didn’t end up hate reading it like GoR.

It’s very different from the rest in this series and almost doesn’t really feel like a part of it. The plot combined with the backstory kind of worked for me. I also appreciated that Eli actually expressed his love through his actions and consistent care rather than just being a possessive, sadistic, controlling prick like a couple of the other one-dimensional MMCs in this series.
