It makes me sad to admit I don't enjoy this series, it's not awful I am just not invested. I don't love how the FMC is written she is extremely whiney and comes off as immature. Stubborn and confrontational but really knows nothing about what is happening.

I'll be honest and say that even though I waited almost 4 years for this book ( at least it felt that way!) I wasn't as excited to start it because of how he first one ended. But I can't help myself with the fascinating biblical background, RS something new that you don't always see in books. But I can honestly say that this is one of the best Jeaniene Frost books I have ever read! The action was spot on, the suspense kept me turning pages and the romance was swoon worthy. Because one more thing, Adrian is one of the most heartbreakingly loveable characters. His sad, tortured last and his conflicted future make his constant love and devotion to Ivy so adorable and love them so much. I loved the whole layout of this book and how it flowed so well with the previous novel. I cannot wait for the last book and i know I'm going to cry when I finish that one 💜

I am really enjoying this series.
It is different than I am used to and Ivy is a pretty kick-ass character.
I liked that this book didn’t start after book 1, sometimes not a lot but some has passed and I felt that brought more to the story by doing that than anything else really.

Adrian really steps up in this book and this is where I feel for the HERO finally. He showed Ivy he was all in and that part well it was my favorite hands down.
This book had just as much action as book 1 so there never really were dead spots and that kept me interested. I am looking forward to book 3.

Tavia does another great job with the narration.

Interesting sequel. It's been a while since I read the first book though, so I was a bit lost in the beginning. It did all come back eventually. Now that the third installment is out, I better get to that one soon so I don't have the same thing happen.

Listened to this one on audio again since one of my favorite narrators does this presentation. Though I always enjoy her narrations, this installment wasn't as enjoyable as other books I've read by this author. Not sure what it is but I'm still looking forward to the next installment.
