I fell in love with this book.
I liked the characters, the writing style, the humor and the reflections. The book made my imagination run wild and I wondered how I would handle my own shipwreck story alone in similar circumstances.
I know that the book is in many respects... out of date. Still I think these Storygraph comments exaggerate the issue. For example "Crusoe wanted to kill the natives" well Crusoe had just found out they were cannibals and he was scared for his life. After he calmed down, he quickly changed his mind about that and stated that cannibals have the same right to life as he does, and therefore cannibals shouldn't be harmed.

I feel like Robinson as a character is not very interesting. Like he doesn't have a personality really, so why should I be rooting for him?
A must read for any book lover, my favorite thing about this novel was that I was able to share the story with my brothers.
