With the way that The Cursed ended, I wasn't sure if I was going to pick The Forsaken up or not. I was starting to get tired of the creepy and yet overly sweet relationship between Andre and Gabrielle. I am, however, glad that I decided to go ahead and read the Forsaken.
I thought that both Gabrielle and Andre seemed a lot more vulnerable in this book, which made it more interesting to read. Their adventures on the run ended up being pretty interesting and a lot more action packed than I expected. I still find the fact that every mythical creature ever discussed seems to be in this book kind of overwhelming. I like reading about a lot of different creatures, but I think most of the time it's better to pick a few and focus on those ones. The devil fell a little flat for me in this book. It seemed pretty routine at this point. Counting down the days until Gabrielle goes to Hell, popping in during random times and being a nuisance, etc. I'm hoping that the next book really picks up.

This book just keep me on the edge, I had to know what was going to happen next! So exited to finish off this series, probably tomorrow!

OK je crois que c'est mon tome préféré ><
Dès les premières pages, on sent que la tension est à son comble et on sait qu'il va se passer quelque chose d'énorme avant la fin du livre !!
Et il se passe plein de trucs : ENFIN, la longue agonie de Gabrielle, la mort de , le mystérieux Jericho (qui pour moi est forcément un gentil vu qu'il cite Tolkien xD) et CETTE FIN !!! (J'avoue que je ne m'y attendais pas, jamais je n'aurais imaginé que aurait pu faire ça JAMAIS !! Et mon cœur s'est brisé pour Andre >< (Bon par contre j'ai adoré la robe toile d'araignée xD))
Je fonce lire le prochain livre !!

From the first pages, we feel that the tension is at its height and we know that something HUGE will happen before the end of the book!
And there's a lot of huge stuff going on : FINALLY, Gabrielle's long agony, death, the mysterious Jericho (who for me is obviously a nice guy since he quotes Tolkien xD) and THIS END !! ! (I admit that I SO didn't expect it, I never imagined that could have done that, NEVER !! And my heart broke for Andre >< (Well, I loved the spider dress xD))
I'm SO going to read the next book !!

Just when you thought you knew where Laura was heading with this, it takes a twist.
This book is action from start to finish. Anyone and everyone appears to be after Gabrielle. They either want to claim her as theirs or kill her, as though the clock on her life isn't slowing down enough.
Gabrielle and Andre eventually "get together" and wow, the devil is not happy, even though he didn't attempt to stop them this time. This book does focus more on Gabrielle and Andres relationship, and preparing for what they know is to come, even though they are desperately trying to stop it.
We get introduced to a new character, Jericho who advises there is a way for her to save everyone, but the way to do this cannot be done until she is desperate.
The ending was absolutely heartbreaking, especially when Andres coven had to take him and hold him down to stop him from harming himself.
I can't wait for the final installment in this series.
