Omg, that ending! <3

Truly an ending about endings, this final chapter in the Simon Snow saga goes out of its way to wrap up both plot and update relationships to provide closure. While Agatha's plotline felt tertiary (it didn't integrate well with the the rest of the action, in my opinion) I enjoyed seeing her development and know where she ended up in the scheme of things along with the rest of the motley ensemble. Definitely hanging onto this one/series for future rainy day comfort reading!

THE FUCKING EPITOME OF "I'M NOT MAD I'M JUST DISAPPOINTED!!!" I am so irritated rn.

**I am terrible with words sometimes, plez forgive me, I struggle to review properly**

Hear me out, but this is not the ending that it should have been. It was good enough, sure.

Baz and Simon got some sort of thing worked out.
Penny and Shep were sorted (I love Shep so much, and his parts in this book were the only parts that I really liked?? he's a dumb ass but loved him).
Agatha sorted.. I came around to liking her at least a smidge, but also, that epilogue could fuck right off, no one cares. I wanted to hear about Baz, not Agatha.

So all the ends tied up in their own way... when it came to the characters themselves and relationships anyway.

BUT HOLD MY POODLE... I sat there when the book ended thinking about the 300 ways I would have written it differently and better...? And that is not a good sign imo.

I stated in one of my updates, that this book was a whole lot about NOTHING. And it literally is practically about nothing, the whole story feels SO UNIMPORTANT, when you get to the climax of this book, I felt very like...
/insert confused John Travolta-Pulp fiction gif here............ "oh... is this it?"

Sure, I understand that the situations in the second book were in another country, so maybe that's why it was never really discussed again, but I completely thought that book 3 would be about saving the world from those vampires maybe? Or about anything at all really?
