Its always hard to read the last book of a trilogy that you thoroughly enjoyed. I did find the plot a little underwhelming and the main conflict wrapped up too quickly for my taste BUT I absolutely love these characters and this world. I had such a fun time reading this and I am literally begging for a fourth book. Thats really all I need to be happy

I reread this series again, just to feel joy. Once again I'm begging for even more to this series.

A breathtaking book and possibly my favourite one in the entire series. Every romance, new and old alike, was beautiful in its own way. This was honestly the book readers deserved after wayward son. It made me cry, laugh, cry, and laugh some more. Rainbow outdid herself with this book! Honestly I'm too excited right now for an in-depth review. I just love love love this book and need everyone to read it!
I found this enjoyable enough. It was a strange format and, again, a different tone from the most recent book. It was more... episodic, I guess? Like we were following unrelated sitcom plotlines for the three different romances, jumping from long conversation to long conversation.
It was a relief to see growth beyond the relentlessly depressing tone of Wayward Son. There were still moments that were difficult to read, not because they were grim, which is fine by me, but because the grimness didn't make enough sense. At least we moved past the random breakup pretty fast and had some really nice character moments. I actually particularly loved Agatha's story, which I wasn't expecting!
The very, very end was pretty satisfying too. I liked seeing the romances come together and the warm note of these characters finally finding their way forward. I was so relived when Simon actually worked out who his family were because it drove me nuts as a reader to understand that backstory for an entire book before he did!!

I think the conclusion is fine but the series does not hold up to my experience with the first one that i love the comedy and the action and the magic. I think it was too much some parts interesting some a bit more boring but it was a fine conclusion to the story
I am incredibly sad to see the end of this series. It was wonderful to get a conclusion to the boys’ story I love these boys so much. The book was different with the 4 of them returning from the States with Shepard only to separate not necessarily happily but needing to but it was something they needed to do in order to become who we want them to be, but once again coming together so they can do what they do best. I thought Penelope grew a lot in this book and that Agatha found herself comfortable in her own skin. While the story ended there were enough loose ends that if the author heard them calling her another story is there.
I purposely haven’t said anything about Simon and Baz because I cannot do it justice. Just read the series and join everyone who is miserable because we don’t get to see them again.
