too much cock? like woah where did that come from omg. and definitely a rushed ending, i feel like i can see what rowell was trying to do with the kind of ending it was but it just seemed rushed 100%.. not a bad end to the series though. i thought baz and simon figuring themselves out together was sweet overall. agatha’s story was cute but kind of unnecessary and didn’t draw me in much, it just felt like unnecessary filler. i dunno, i’m just glad to close this chapter of my life. goodbye carry on 👋
(P.S. cannibalism IS sexy!!!!!)

After the messiness of the second book, this was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed this final book immensely more than the previous two. It was ultimately a happy ending and I honestly wish there were going to be more books because I really adore Simon and Baz and want to continue to see them heal and grow. (Guess that means I gotta go read some Simon/Baz fanfic lol.)
Also, I want to acknowledge that Rowell has a gift for writing strangely odd, but realistic intimacy scenes. After reading as many romance books as I have it's cool to see that authors can continue to find interesting/different ways to write these kinds of scenes.
These are not the best books I have ever read, but I still think Rowell has accomplished something remarkable here in terms of the concept of writing a published fanfiction that is fanfiction from another book she wrote.

Well, I finished the series! And I'm very happy that I did, even if it also feels a bit bittersweet. I do love these characters a lot and it's a bit sad to see them go. But yeah.
This book was a bit different from the others but no less enjoyable. Maybe I found certain characters a little bit annoying at times and the end battle (if you can even call it that) was a little anti-climactic but that depends on what expectations you have, I guess? Compared to the other two books, this just moseyed along and, eventually, I reached the end. It felt slightly less cohesive as a story, is what I'm trying to say, perhaps because of the separate storylines and the fact that a lot of the characters didn't even interact with each other for the majority of it.
That said, I liked that all the main characters got their stories wrapped up (oddly enough, I was very invested in Agatha's ending, which I hadn't expected) and there were even some storylines I hadn't expected to be tied up that was, in fact, tied up. So that was nice.
Overall, it's been a lovely journey and I'm so happy that I read this series. I love it so much.

Failed as a finale and as a stand alone book. Disappointing that a book meant to be brimming with magic felt so mundane.

So good! Simon was so relatable with how he viewed his relationships. Loved the ending too.
I don't know what to do with myself now that I finished this series.
