2021 review: My 7, 5, and 3 year old loved all three of the stories as we read them together. I still think the first story is the best, but my kids seem to like the second two a lot as well

I read this with my 4 year old daughter and we both really enjoyed it. It's very silly, but also pretty suspenseful at places. I do remember one place where I had to change a word that struck me as problematic (racist), but I don't remember what or where it was.

Delightful read and my daughter and I are already planning on reading it again.

Read this aloud to my four year old. Good chapter book for his age because almost every page has an illustration. Cute story and he wanted to read the whole thing, but not especially memorable.

The kids voted this a 4. I’d say 3.5 - full of whimsy but a little slow at times.

Grace and I loved these books. I think she liked the first book the best, but all three were quite enjoyable.

I first had this book read to my classmates and I in 3rd or 4th grade. I decided to get it and read it now, 12 years later. I think I'll still like it ^.^

Yup. Definitly still like it. Read it in an hour this time, though, instead of a few days. It's an excellent one for kids who have just learned to read chapter books. Cute and amusing, some old-fashioned language in it, but nothing kids wouldn't understand.
