We read the first eleven books in this series, and I highly recommend them (if you have a little one who's amenable to princess stuff).
This is one of the best books in the series.

The first ever Whatever After Special Edition is absolutely adorable and this time instead of Abby and Jonah going into the fairytale realm, Abby and her two friends, Robin and Frankie, and Penny who isn't the nicest of Robin's other best friend and a part of this little trio now a quartet, all go with Abby to Wonderland! And as usual, there's a twist with the Maryrose story of the fairy who's living and is trapped in a mirror in Abby and Jonah's new home in the basement and you somewhat learn a tiny bit about her side of the story. It wasn't the same without Jonah but still a fun read/listen which I have to say the narrator, Emily Eiden, is really, really good at narrating these books and makes them so much fun.
For mom's who are looking for any good books to read to their kids or for your kids in general, these are the perfect books for boys and girls who can relate to both Abby and Jonah and the humor is spot on for kids that even got me chuckling at once in a while and smiling, clean stories, good morals, and super adorable!

My Thoughts:
- Abby usually visits fairy tales through the magic mirror in her basement, but this time she falls into a giant hole on a golf course, and instead of her brother and dog accompanying her, her two best friends and sort of enemy falls into the hole with her. Abby and her friends have to wander through Wonderland and figure out how to get back home. Abby also has to deal with Penny, who isn't her most favorite person.
- I like that Abby and Penny learn that they have more in common than they think. I also really like that Abby learns why Penny acts the way she does. It is a good lesson to learn. Often times, the mean kids at school are struggling in some way, and they are just acting out because they don't know how else to behave.
- I loved all the Wonderland characters. I am a sucker for Wonderland stories. It's whimsical setting and characters are delightful.
- Gnome and I enjoyed reading this together. We laughed and had a lot of fun.

Cute, but not my favorite. I missed having Jonah in the story. Glad to learn more about Maryrose & am curious how Penny will play into this.

Cute and different Abby and her friends plus Penny have fallen into Wonderland....but wait HC Anderson, and the Grimms never wrote this one! Someone is changing how Abby travels and that's not a good thing. This book changes up the whole series can't wait for more. A look at how the people we don't like might be more like us than we want to admit.
